Protect your account
BUY.UG staff should never ask for your password, Mobile Money PIN, one-time code or card secret.
Keep evidence
Keep order, RFQ and quotation records. If WhatsApp is used, do not delete important agreements or payment evidence.
Inspect direct adverts
For used, vehicle and high-value direct deals, inspect the exact item and ownership documents before irreversible payment.
Question unusual prices
Very low prices, urgent off-platform payment and changing payment numbers are strong warning signs.
Check the seller
Review seller status, location, store history, returns terms, warranty and independent business details.
Report quickly
Use the report control on a product or store. BUY.UG administrators can pause listings while reviewing evidence.
Stop communicating, save evidence, contact your payment provider immediately, reset exposed credentials and report the incident to the appropriate authorities.
